Some Christmas pics

Wild Hog in the Front Yard??!!!!

Yep, you read that right!! Let me just tell you the story of the most redneck night ever!! Chance and I were headed out to The Firehouse to eat some supper and when we walked out of the door, we noticed there were three huge things in the corner of our yard, eating all the pecans. Last weekend my brother had called us to tell us that we had wild hogs in our front yard and asked if he could shoot them, but before he was able to they ran off. Chance had a pretty good idea that they were hogs and we snuck back in the house so that we wouldn't scare them off and got Garrett's spot light from his room and Chance got his gun. After he got the pig, Tyler had to come over to help load it up and after eating supper, we took it over to Tyler's to let the guys do all the dirty work. After calling around to all the people that Chance knew of, they decided that the hog was good to eat and that we are going to have a redneck hog cook in our backyard (redneck attire is required). LOL! How random of a night is that?

Hmm... maybe he ate too many Christmas cookies this year! Blake is in the background thinking the same thing! LOL! Tyler had to dig out coveralls and coats for everyone to wear since it was SO cold outside, but he sure did look the most warm out of all of them.

P.S. I will have other food besides the wild hog, just in case!

Is Christmas Over Yet??

I said in my last post that I was really in the Christmas spirit and I have to say that I am all Christmased out right about now! LOL! I'm just ready for it to be over with!

The Christmas with a Cause Party had a pretty good turnout and we raised $267, or close to that, for our family. We got to go shopping and bought the boy a skateboard with a helmet and pads and some clothes and we got the girls each a bratz doll and some clothes. We also got some DVDs, CDs, and a game for them to play and watch together. I hope their Christmas is everything they hoped it would be. I am happy to report that when I dropped the toys off there were about 3 rows of bicycles lined up from one side of the room to the other at the Salvation Army.

I can't remember if I have posted or not about us finally getting around to remodeling our living room. Woohoo!! It looks SO good and now all we have to do is the little finishing touches here and there. We are thinking that we are going to tile over the wood floor that we refinished because it just didn't turn out the way we had planned. I'll have pics posted soon so that you guys can see what it looks like before and what it looks like now, HUGE difference!!! Funny thing is, our Christmas tree was up in the old pics so it has taken us a whole year to get around to doing the other half! LOL!

I hope that everyone has a safe Merry Christmas and an even better New Year!

Getting ready for the Christmas with a Cause Party!!

It's almost here!!! We are SO excited, but still have a lot of work to do. I really hope this party is a success and that we can give these children a Christmas that they deserve. The only thing I don't like about adopting a family from the Salvation Army is that we can't wrap the presents, and they really don't give us a whole lot of information about what the kids really like. The girls listed that they wanted CDs and DVDs, but I'm just really not sure what kind of CDs and DVDs they like or are wanting. I guess I was expecting for this to be a little bit more personal and maybe we could meet the family that we are helping and see their pretty little smiles, but it's all good!! LOL!!

So, we have all of Shaylee's Christmas shopping done! Whew, did we go crazy!! LOL! We just started seeing things and thought, "Oh, that would be so cute", and so it just got thrown in the basket and decided that next year, maybe I will make out a list beforehand so that I don't go all crazy again. LOL! Not only did we go crazy, but I keep thinking of other things that I really want to get her! We decided (I say we, but I decided LOL) that it would be fun to get Shaylee some presents that she could open on Christmas Eve like some new pajamas to wear to bed that night or a new Christmas movie or something like that. I'm just really in the Christmas spirit this year and absolutely love it!!

1st Annual Christmas with a Cause Party

On December 12th, Kendra and I will be hosting our 1st Annual Christmas with a Cause Party. We are SO excited!! Instead of just having a regular ol' Christmas party, we decided that we would adopt a family and everyone could make donations to help this family have a special Christmas this year. We have adopted a family with 2 girls, ages 8 and 11, and one boy, age 7. We will be having it at Kendra's dad's hanger and we will hopefully have a jumper for the kids and music and dancing for the adults. We really hope that it is a success so that we can hopefully make it a bigger and better event every year so that we can give more families a Christmas during these hard times.

Thanksgiving weekend

I'm pretty sure that I gained 5 lbs after Thanksgiving! I've also decided that it's too hard to juggle holiday's and all the family that we have. I wish that we could just be everywhere and not miss a single one, but it's not possible. We had lunch at Chance's Aunt Gene's and supper at my Grandma Bosley's. Let me tell ya, two Thanksgivings in one day is a killer, but it is sure delicious! Saturday we got to go and visit Aunt Jana and all of that family. We had a great time and hope to see everyone again soon.

Shaylee had RSV all last week, but she is better. She actually slept all night without even waking up one single time last night!! Woohoo!! She is learning so many new things everyday and is just more precious to us than we could ever even have imagined. I have a whole bunch of pics that I need to post, but I still haven't found my USB cord to get them on here. When I finally do find it, you guys with be overloaded with pics! LOL!

I hope you guys had a great weekend and Christmas is right around the corner!! I better get busy!!

Wedding!!

Whew!! What a wedding we had?! Thanks so much Cindy, Twila, Jaycee, Kelli, and everyone else that helped out at the wedding, and and to Chanda for such taking such great pictures. And thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us! We had such a blast and everything was more than perfect. We sure are excited to the O'Daniel family now instead of the soon to be O'Daniel Family! I hope that everyone had as much fun as we did.

2 more days....

I am ecstatic!! I'm taking half a day off on Thursday to clean the clutter in my messy house so that all of our out of town guests won't feel like they are sleeping in a pig sty. Yes, I am a bad mom and am going to leave Shaylee at daycare while I clean, but that is the only way I am going to get it all done. Yesterday, I had plans to take her outside with me while I spray painted the cupcake tier and that did not work out so well. I ended up taking lil' girl back in the house and Chance painted until we ran out of paint and he even went and bought some more and we finished it all up when Shaylee went to bed. I'm so excited because everything is going to be SO pretty and thank you SOOOOO much to Cindy and Twila for all of their great ideas and hard work! I don't think I could ever repay you guys for all the work y'all have done!

I've posted some of the pictures that Chanda took and they are SO awesome!! I can't wait for her to be able to take pictures at the wedding. If you guys like her work, you should check out her blog that I follow.

Well, this will probably be the last post until the week after the honeymoon. I'll get the wedding and honeymoon pics posted and will also get Halloween pics of Shaylee and Payton posted. I'm behind on all my pictures!! Oh and by the way if you didn't know, we are taking out honeymoon to Nashville. We sure are having a redneck honeymoon to pick up a truck!! LOL! We are flying to Nashville on Wednesday and will be driving the truck home Saturday morning. We are SO excited because neither one of us has been to Nashville and the CMA's will be happening the night we get there, so maybe we will get a peek at one of the country stars! I'm hoping to visit the Grand Ole Opry, Music Row, and pretty much anything else that we can fit in. It's also my first time to fly, so that's exciting too!! I just can't wait for everything to happen, but can wait until I get everything done that I want to! The next time that I get on here I will officially be Mrs. Chance O'Daniel and our blog will the The O'Daniel Family, instead of The soon to be O'Daniel Family!!!! Woohoo!!!

First words, well sort of....

Sometime last week, yes I say sometime because all my days are running together and I can't exactly say which day it was, Shaylee was getting her diaper changed and getting some clean clothes on. Well, she HATES changing her clothes, or at least her shirts and was throwing a fit and I mean not only were her eyebrows turning red, but her whole face was red. Anyways she started yelling, "Da da, da da" like he was going to come run to her rescue so she wouldn't have to get her shirt changed, it was just pretty darn cute! So, I guess "Da da" will be her first word and I'm pretty jealous that it wasn't ma ma. LOL! It was really exciting, and her daddy sure did get an ego boost from it! My lil' Shaylee girl is getting to where she isn't so lil' anymore :(

Anniversary

Today is the 2 year Anniversary since Chance and I have been together. What a great two years it has been!! It's kind of funny because Chance called me while I was at work yesterday and was asking what I wanted to do for our Anniversary, and he noticed it took me a while to answer him and, to be honest, I was going through my calendar thinking, "Anniversary? Already? No way!". He was right!! I had to admit to him that I had totally forgot and that is what took me forever to answer! LOL! I mean, how is that for a switch, the girl forgetting and the guy remembering! LOL! Chance you are SOOO great and I just love you so much! I'm going to say that the reason I forgot is because I thought since we are getting married that we just start all over and don't count those anniversaries anymore! haha! We have had some really great times together already and have so many more to come, and I am really, really excited to see what comes our way in the next chapter of our lives.

I love you Chance O'Daniel!!!!!

Bachelorette Party

Fun!! Fun!!! Thank you SO much Kendra, Stormy, Alicia, Tamra, LeAnn, Kasi, and Jericha for such a fun party!! We kicked off the night at Buffalo Wild Wings then went to Tamra's house so that we could get changed and ready to go out. Everyone sure did look pretty darn hot! haha! We made our way over to Bailey's, which is a place of tradition for all of us from San Angelo, and had the BEST waitress in the world! She was so much fun and even asked off and will be coming to the wedding! We played beer pong, flip cup, and danced our night away, even though we were the only ones on the dance floor. LOL!! Everyone decided that we needed more people to dance with us, so we went to Grahams and it was pretty much dead there so we got a cab and went back to Bailey's. The second time at Bailey's, I just so happened to run into my cousin Jared. I think he was pretty suprised to see me and he hung out with us the rest of the night. We were the life of the party at Bailey's and the owner asked us to get up on the bar for a picture!! haha! Oh, and we can't forget our favorite saying for the night, "ARRRRRRRRRRR"! haha! One of my contacts were killing me and I just had to take it out before we left Buffalo, so of course I'm blind in that eye without it. When we were playing beer pong, I was missing every single ball I was throwing because I had terrible aim with one bad eye and one good eye, so I decided that I should cover the bad eye and I sure did make the first shot!! Well, since I had to cover one eye they were calling me a pirate and that is how "ARRRRRRR" came about for the night! LOL!! I love all you guys and can't wait to see you all at the wedding because I know it will be just as fun, if not more fun!

18 More Days!!!

We had our pictures taken this weekend and the couple that I have been able to see turned out great!!! Chanda is SO talented and she took more than 200 pictures in less than 2 hours! Thanks so much Chanda for taking those pics and I can't wait to see you again at the wedding!! I'll get some pictures posted when I finally get to see them and I can't even stand to wait any longer!! haha!

23 more days til' the wedding!!!

and pictures with Chanda tomorrow!! Woohoo!! Check out her website and see her awesome pictures: http://www.chandasphotography.com/
Maybe ours will be on there soon!

Well, here's just a little update on everyone:

Chance has been busy working on a couple of trucks. Before we know it, he will be just the name around town to take your Dodge if you are having a problem. LOL! He overhauled one truck one weekend, and put a new transmission in another just yesterday.

Shaylee is still growing and growing! Chance's mom ordered her the cutest costume and I am SO excited to see her in it.

I am playing on an adult league volleyball team for the YMCA called Kiss my Pass. We played our first game last Sunday and didn't do so good the first game and lost 8-30 and the second game we did better, but still lost 20-30. In our defense, the other team was a bunch of coaches and it had a bunch of big guys. Our team is just a couple of friends who played in high school, Brandi, my mom, and some other friends that have never really played before. We may not be the best team out there, but we sure are having a bunch of fun. All of us that played in high school are sure noticing how old we are getting though! LOL!! We were all SO sore the next couple of days! haha! Our next game is this Sunday and I just know we will do a great job.

Those of you who don't know, my Grandpa Keune had lung cancer and passed away last Friday. He isn't my so called "real" grandpa, but to me he is, actually that whole family is considered my family. It was a hard day having to say bye, really hard, but I know that he is in a better place and I just know he is up in Heaven making all those angels laugh harder than they ever have known! There is a rainbow after every rain and my rainbow that day was getting see all my family and friends that I haven't been able to see in a really long time. Shaylee has a new "grandma", Miss Ellie. Miss Ellie was one of my favorite ladies at church and she still is. She has not changed one single bit and has decided that she now has 11 great-grandchildren instead of just 10 because of Shaylee. LOL!! Shaylee sure did get passed around from one person to the other and sometimes I lost track of her because she was getting passed around so much. She is going to have so much love from so many people! Thank God for family!!

Busy, Busy, Busy

Man, oh, man, have we been busy!!

Gosh, it's been awhile since I've made a post and I can't even remember what has gone on since then! LOL!

Let's see, Chance decided to sell his red truck and one of the guys from San Angelo ended up buying it. I think I was more sad than Chance was to see someone else driving it. :( He is still working on the dually, but it is coming along.

We have one more month until the wedding! Woohoo!! It will be so much fun and I hope to see everyone there. It doesn't even seem like it should be this close, our time just goes by so much faster these days.

Shaylee is getting SO big! She grabs at things a little bit, smiles, sometimes laughs, and talks like crazy, okay so not really talking, but making noise. She is so much fun the older she gets, but I miss her being little bitty already. She is getting up just once a night so we have been able to get some pretty good sleep.

This last weekend we went to San Angelo for the weekend to see Cross Canadian Ragweed on Friday night and then go to the Diesel Day at the track on Saturday. We had a really good time and got to hang out with a bunch of friends we haven't got to see in a while. Shaylee stayed with MiMi and got to go to Aunt Kelli's birthday to see everyone. She just loves seeing Case, Coby, and Bailey! This weekend is our last weekend to really relax before the wedding. Next weekend is pictures, after that is the Bachelorette Pary, Halloween weekend Chance has his Bachelor Party, and then it's the weekend of the wedding! Whew!! haha!

Shaylee's 2 months already!!!

Yes, Shaylee is already 2 months old!! It has gone by SO fast and she is getting so big! She now weights 14.5 pounds, and I'm not sure how tall she is, they sure didn't offer to tell me. She got her shots, which was really sad, but she did really good and cried for just a minute after they gave them to her. I think she did get her feelings hurt a little bit because even while I was holding her at home she would just all of a sudden have a pout on her face and just start to cry a little bit. I think I told her sorry about a million times that day! LOL!

I hope that everyone had a great Labor Day weekend. I know that we sure did! Friday night my brother, Garrett, his girlfriend, Kayla, and my little neice, Payton came over to the house to hang out for a little bit, by the way Payton is getting big too and holds her head up so good. I had a friend that was having a hard day so after being sure it was okay with Chance, I offered to be her driver and take her to John Wesley's. We had a pretty good time and I think it made her feel a little bit better and it was kind of nice to hang out with a couple of my friends for a little bit, it's hard to get them together anymore. Saturday, I went to Midland with Cindy to get stuff for the wedding, only 54 more days!! Saturday night we were invited to go to Colorado City Lake and had a great, relaxing time! Vince and Vicki did a great job with their fish fry, everything was delicious! We got to put Shaylee's little bikini on her and got a couple of pictures, but I've lost my camera so I'll post them when I finally find that thing. Sunday, we just hung out at the house. Chance was outside working on the truck, and Shaylee wouldn't let me put her down so I started watching episodes of TrueBlood and am addicted!! I watched all 10 episodes and am waiting for the new episode to come out this Sunday. On Monday, Cindy picked up Shaylee to take her to see her grandma and grandpa Bailey while I did some much needed cleaning around the house.

Well, Homecoming for Big Spring is coming up and I can't believe that I am just 4 years away from having my 10 year class reunion! Wow, that makes me feel old. I'm not going this year, but will definitely have to go next year to see some of the class that were Seniors when I was a Freshman. Okay, so I probably won't go to the game, I hardly went to them when I was in school, but maybe I will meet up with some of them. LOL!

New Truck

We got a new, but not so new truck! Chance bought a 2002 Dodge 3500 that he is going to fix up for me to drive so we can sell our car. Here are the before pics:

Yes, that is Rhino Lining that is all over the truck. Chance has decided that he wants to paint it two tone with gunmetal gray and blue, with barbed wire pinstripe where the two colors meet. I'll post pics of everything when he is finally able to get it all finished!

Peach and Watermelon Festival in De Leon, Texas and Shaylee's First Day of Daycare

We had a blast at the Peach and Watermelon Festival in De Leon this weekend! We got to watch the big tractor pulls, which was pretty cool. Saturday morning all the guys went to Weatherford to go to a Dyno day and Chance got 1st place!! He won a $300 gift certificate to Dr. Performance. West Texas Diesel Performance, which is the group that Chance is with, all got 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place so they are getting a little recognition with all of their trucks. While the guys were doing that, the girls decided that we would sleep in and hang out at the pool. Shaylee stayed with Mi Mi, and I sure missed her, but it was kind of nice to actually sleep in for a couple days.

I had to come back to work yesterday and take Shaylee to daycare, which was the hardest thing ever! I cried from the house all the way to the daycare, got myself together to take her in, and started again when I had to leave and cried all the way until I got to work! She did really good and everyone at the daycare just loves her and I think she gets held more with them than she did when she stayed with me! LOL! This morning was a piece of cake leaving her, just because I know that they took such good care of her.

Shaylee!!!!

Well, Shaylee is finally here (most everyone that looks at this probably already knows that haha!) Here are some pictures of her and the top ones are the more recent pics. We are loving every single bit of being parents, even when we have to get up every 2 hours to a starving, upset baby.

Still no baby......

Well, Shaylee decided that she didn't wasn't ready to come yesterday and my blood pressure was back down to 123/78. That little stinker! haha! I am dialted to a 2 though, and if we don't have a baby before Monday morning, we will go in bright and early to be induced. We are so excited, but we are getting tired of just sitting around and waiting to her little self! haha! I am especially tired of my feet looking like elephant feet because they are so swollen in the evenings! haha!

38 weeks appointment and a lil' about the weekend

Here's the most recent and more than likely the last sonogram of Shaylee. I had my 38 week appointment today!! My blood pressure was a little elevated, but Dr. Byerly said it was nothing to worry about. If I start seeing spots, feeling bad, or I start getting pains in my stomach then he told me to come up to the hospital as soon as possible. He also told me that if my blood pressure is high at the appointment next week, that he might go ahead and induce!!! I really don't want my blood pressure to be high, but I would love to have a baby next week! haha!!

We had a really good weekend this last weekend. I pretty much hung out, relaxed, and got a few things done at home and Chance went to a truck pull in Santo. He got 2nd place! I don't have a video of this one to post, but I got him a video camera for Father's Day, so I will be able to post more videos and pictures of his truck later on.

Finally some pictures and about Chance's Dyno this weekend

I finally have some pictures of Miss Payton!!

Also this last weekend Chance went to another Dyno Day in Denton and did REALLY good! He got third place, but only got beat by two guys who sprayed nitrous (those cheaters! haha). He had 700 horsepower and might even be in Diesel World Magazine!! Here is this link to see the video:

Shaylee's Baby Shower

Thank you all for coming out to Kendra's parents house for the shower and all the great gifts for Shaylee! I can already tell that she is going to be spoiled. A HUGE thanks goes out to Kendra and Stormy for doing all the planning and doing all the hard work, to Cassie for coming over the night before and the morning of to help with all the last minute details, and also to Vickie for letting us tear up her nice, clean house for the day. I didn't get any pictures on my camera because I got distracted by everything, but will get pictures from Kendra to post on here. I will be posting a whole bunch of pictures all at once because I still need to put pictures of Shaylee's room up. As you can tell, I'm the worst at dragging my feet and getting those posted.

Also, thanks to all of Chance's friends and family that came over to the Diaper Party and brought us all of those diapers!! It looks like we have enough to last us forever, but I know better than that! haha! They will probably last us a couple of weeks though!

Sunday, Chance and I spent most of the day relaxing, taking tags off of clothes, putting together a couple of things (Thanks Chance for being such a handy man and helping me out with all the things that would probably take me a whole day to put together), taking things out of boxes, and pretty much just getting everything ready for Shaylee. Yes, I know it's still a month early, but I'm too excited to see everything all put together and pretty to wait even one more day!

Again, thanks to everyone! We are blessed that we have so many friends and family.

33 weeks and counting... (and an update on Payton and Kayla)

We had another doctor appointment today! It was just another check-up and everything is still going along good. I gained back the 4 lbs that I lost, and about 5 more. Dr. Byerly was out so Carylon Frerich saw me today and said that was normal and there was nothing to worry about. At my next visit, which is on my birthday, they will test for Group B Strep and will also be the beginning of my once a week visits!! Woohoo!! We're getting closer and closer!!

Kayla finally got to be discharged from the hospital!! Her and Garrett are staying in a camper at the hospital until Payton gets to come home. Payton is still in NICU, but she is doing really good and I was told that she was the loudest one in there! haha!

Payton's here!!

We have a little girl!!! She was born yesterday at, I think, 12:23 pm. 3 lbs, 5 oz and healthy! It all happened so fast that we missed everything! I think Kayla pushed about one time and there was little Miss Payton. Shantel took a video and that is the only picture I have seen so far, but she has some long legs and she was a pretty pink color. There is one little part in the video where Garrett is just smiling from ear to ear with his big ol' dimples showing, and you could just tell how excited and proud he was all at the same time.

When we left yesterday, from what we had heard, Payton was going to be in NICU for 10 days. Kayla was doing good, and was put back into the ICU for mom's so they could keep a close watch on her. I think she only had to be there for 12 hours, but so much was happening that I could be wrong about that.

Whew!! What an eventful and blessed week!!

Payton Marie Keune

Yesterday my little brother's girlfriend went for a regular check-up at Dr. Byerly's office and ended up getting admitted to Scenic Mountain Medical Center for preeclampsia. She was really swollen from head to toe and had really high blood pressure. After about an hour of being observed, they decided to transfer her out to Odessa Regional. After a long night of waiting around for test results, the doctor, I believe it is Dr. Lively, decided that instead of just waiting around to see if she gets better that they really needed to induce her because her cervix was really soft and he could already feel the baby's forehead. He also said something about her lab work on her liver not being too great, but I wasn't in there when he was talking to everyone about that part so I'm not real sure what's going on there. Last night when we left the hospital, Kayla was relaxed and sleeping, but already dialated to a 2. Her blood pressure had gone down quite a bit, and the baby was also doing good.

This morning I heard from my mom who told me that not a whole lot has changed from last night. Kayla is still dialated to a 2, and her and Garrett were both sleeping whenever she called at about 7 am. I'll keep everyone updated as to how they are doing, but we might have a baby by the end of the day!!

Dr. Byerly told my Dad yesterday that if they did deliver, the baby will probably have to be in NICU, which is newborn ICU, for about 2 weeks. The doctor in Odessa hasn't said anything in regards to that yet, but I'm praying that maybe little Miss Payton Marie was just ready to get out of there and won't even have to go to the NICU unit.

Doctor appointment at 31 weeks!

We had another doctor appointment today and everything is great! We didn't have any tests or anything this week, just a check up. I actually lost 4 lbs. from the last appointment and how I did that, I have no clue! haha!! I have really slacked off the past two weeks on watching what I eat, and haven't even walked the last two weeks. Dr. Byerly said it is nothing to worry about though because my belly is still growing and is within the normal range. The next test will be at 35 weeks to test for Group B Strep, which I am NOT looking forward to, and that week is also the beginning of going to the doctor once a week instead of every two weeks.

Well, we had another great weekend, well at least most of it. Friday we had a BBQ planned at our house and while we were out getting the food, our water well went out again. So, we moved the BBQ over to my moms house and ended up having a pretty good time. Turns out that we have moles that are chewing the wires. Chance and my brother, Garrett, got that fixed in about an hour on Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon, I finally got to go out to Connie and Brenda Edwards house for a crawfish broil and also got to put faces to all the names that I've been hearing about the last year or so! This was my first time to ever eat crawfish, and it tastes pretty good even though I made Chance get all the meat out for me. haha! Then on Sunday, Chance worked on his truck a little bit and I did laundry, but the rest of the day we hung out at the house and watched movies.

I still haven't got pictures of the baby room yet, but I promise that I'll get them up soon! I was going to put them up yesterday and grabbed the wrong cord to plug up to my computer.

We had a great weekend.

Well, this weekend was a nice, relaxing weekend!

Friday we ate some pizza, and let me tell ya, it was super delicious! We also rented the movie, "My Best Friends Girl", which was a pretty funny movie but maybe not one that I would go out and buy.

On Saturday, Chance got up super early, for a Saturday morning, to go to a truck pull. He got first place!! I'm so proud of him!! He did two pulls that day, the first one was the one that he got first place on, and won a trophy. During the second pull, his truck blew a boot and didn't do as good as he did during the first run. Since he didn't win that round, he gave up his trophy to the guy that beat him. Chance is just always so thoughtful of other people, one of the many reasons that I just love him to death! Here is a video of the Cisco pull if you want to check it out:

While Chance was doing his truck pull, I went to Madison's second birthday party and had a great time seeing everyone! Kendra and I also went to Olive Garden to eat and had a really funny thing happen to us. After dinner, we ordered some of these fluffy looking doughnut things that are covered in powdered sugar and you dip in chocolate. Yes, it's against me trying to eat healthy, but neither one of us could resist. When the plate was put in front of us, we noticed that all of them were really fluffy except for about three pieces. We ate all the fluffy ones and I decided that I would try the smallest of the crunchy ones. When I picked it up, I told Kendra that those crunchy ones looked like chicken strips and dipped my little one into the chocolate sauce and popped the whole thing in my mouth. After taking a bite I noticed that yeah, it did taste a little like chicken so they must have just fried some chicken and those doughnuts in the same fryer. In the same breath that I was telling Kendra about my doughnut tasting like chicken, she tore into the bigger pieces, and yep those couple of pieces were powdered sugar coated chicken!! Kendra and I could just not stop laughing!! I'm still laughing about it right now just thinking about it.

Sunday was another great, relaxing day at home. I love being able to stay home and enjoy my time with Chance.

Shaylee's kicks are getting harder and harder! After lunch and supper, she really gets crazy and it looks like she is trying to play drums with her feet on my stomach or something. Last Wednesday night, the very top ribs on my right side started hurting pretty bad. I couldn't sleep all that night and stayed home from work on Thursday just to get some sleep. I was really worried that something was wrong after the pain didn't go away, so I called up to Dr. Byerly's office who assured me that it's just all part of it. The nurse said that the baby is just putting pressure on just the right spot. It still hurts quiet a bit, but I guess that's just something I got to live with for the next two months or so and really doesn't bother me all that bad until it's time to go to sleep.

It's just the beginning of the week, but I can't wait til' Friday to have another great weekend!

One more doctor's appointment down...

This doctor's appointment went really great! They tested for diabetes, which after all the big hype that I heard about this nasty drink that I would have to drink, it actually tasted like orange soda and was pretty good. If I don't hear anything back from them before my next appointment, which is May 5, then we don't have anything to worry about in that department. My weight gain was really good this time!! Woohoo!! That made me feel about 200 times better than I did after the last appointment! Overall everything is going really great and hope that it stays that way.

We did get to work on the baby room last weekend, but we didn't get all the way done. We still have a few touches here and there that we need to make and then I'll post some pictures of it so everyone can see.

Here we go!

Hey everyone! I thought that I would try something new to keep everyone updated on everything from pictures to anything else. If you didn't know, the baby shower is going to be May 30th and the invitations are going to be out by the beginning of next week. We are finally getting around to getting Shaylee's room ready this weekend! Woohoo! I am so excited! I also wanted to share my favorite picture of Shaylee so far: Isn't she getting big? She sure has been moving around a whole lot lately, especially at night. My next doctor appointment is April 21st, I was supposed to have one this week, but accidently wrote the appointment down on the wrong day in my calendar. Everyone at work says that's just the pregnancy brain at it's best! haha! Well, I hope that everyone enjoys this new thing that I'm trying. You might have to kind of bear with me for a while until I figure it all out. Hope that you have a great weekend!
